I have had the privilege of working in widely different creative environments and communities.

Receiving two BFAs in Art Education and Textile Design from The University of Georgia has allowed me to have a unique creative professional career, combining both teaching and creating and designing.

During school, I worked alongside Susan Hable in her home-studio in Athens, GA (Hable Construction). In Charleston, South Carolina I interned with Lulie Wallace and soaked in the creative overflow from her and her studio-mates at REDUX. After college, I opened my own studio at The Goat Farm in Atlanta, Georgia, while also teaching children’s art classes in Alpharetta, GA (Just For Giggles Art Studio).

In 2015, I moved to NYC to pursue love & a life with my husband, Duane. While in NYC, I taught children’s art classes in Dumbo, Brooklyn at Creatively Wild and also at The Textile Arts Center in Gowanus, Brooklyn. After my two teaching opportunities, I transitioned into the textile manufacturing industry and started my first corporate design job at WestPoint Home. There, I worked on the wonderful design team creating bedding and bath product for a large variety of customers and brands.

After 7+ years of various work experiences, I am eager to begin my own ‘home’ studio practice. In 2020, my family and I have moved back down south to good ‘ole Georgia to live near family and raise a family of our own.
