“Brooke, what is your calling for your life?” my friend asked me back the question I just had asked her and another friend.

““For me, I know from the depths of my soul that God spoke to me very clearly when I was thirteen years old. He told me that he was going to use my creativity to share His story with the world.” I responded.

“I started sharing my work my senior year. I created a portfolio of work called “The Greatest Gift” Series. Each piece of artwork was hand drawn doodles/designs that walked the viewer through creation to salvation. My dad was a huge supporter and saw the Holy Spirit work through me and my work. At the time, I coined my artwork “Free Faith Creations.” I remember my first collector was my little sister’s good friend. (2008-2010)

Then through college, my work took on a different name - B.Free. I continued to create, often time pointing my work back to God, but mainly getting lost in the mix of college and the distractions of it. I was a bartender and lived in Athens, GA… that’s all I need to say. IYKYK. Still, God was moving within me. I might have lost sight, but I never lost hope. (2010-2014)

At the end of college, B.Free turned in to JUSTb. (or my signature of a lowercase b with a period after it). Simple be. That is it. This season of life was hard. Through my mom’s health and heart scares, a loved ones struggling addiction, and a close friend’s lost hope in life, I felt like if I could JUSTb., then that is simply enough. JUSTb. I AM. JUSTb. I exist. JUSTb. I AM. JUSTb. I exist. J U S T b . Man it was a tough season.” I continued to share with them through tears. (2014)

“Oh, but let me tell you that is NOT the end. The best part of the story is how FAITHFUL our Father is. Our God… he LOVES us! Wow. I have watched him move in my life. I have seen him heal. I have seen him save. & more important than any works, I hear him Speak with in my heart. Day after day. Just like he does to you. In the normal days… in the thick of the beautiful messes and busy-ness of life, the colorful chaos of it all…. he is there, speaking, gently orchestrating, with a soft guiding hand he leads us.. toward the light. And through my relentless need for self exploration of “WHO AM I”… he waits. He waits for me. “When you are ready, my previous Child. I AM… here.” This is what he says to me (to us) and he speaks…

Me: “God(or “I AM”, which is another name for God.. he is omnipresent meaning he exists in the past, the present and the future), WHO AM I?”

God: “My child.”

Me: ….tears….

God: “I love you.”

Me: …tears….

God: “I choose you.”

Me: …tears….

God: “You are forgiven.”

Me: … lifts head, eyes closed (basking in his goodness)…

Me: asks again… “I AM. Who am I?”

God: “You ARE. (speaking of me and my existence)… and I AM (God is omnipresent)... let us JUSTb. (exist with me)”

God (emphasizes): You ARE! and I AM. “JUSTb.” and come…. “b. with me.”

Me: asks again… “God, who are you?”

God: I AM WHO I AM.

“What is the calling of your life?” I asked my friends and I ask you the same. I hope you know that God is working in you and will see that work through. We do not need to know all the answers. God wants us to JUSTb. with Him, to spend time with Him. To get to know him, like the time you invest to get to know a friend. REALLY know a friend. This conversation above with friend is a gift that I have been waiting for for years. After years of quietness.. I asked God for this friendship. It took time. It took asking God. I remember God impressing on me one time before meeting with these friends… “To not hold expectations over anything or anyone. Seek to enjoy, only. Seek to embrace, only. Enjoy & embrace your friend and do not expect anything. That is it. Don’t expect to receive some sort of transaction to occur other than simply enjoying and embracing who there are in that moment. Existing together, enjoying each other, embracing each other for who we are and where we are in our walk of life.”

So this is my message to you, my friend. "Who are you?”. You ARE! You are here. You are here and you are a blessing. You are good. You are light. You are a child of God and He adores you and is jealous for you. He wants you to be with him, to know him, to love him, to JUSTb. with him.”

“JUSTb. who you are and where you are now. Find peace and comfort in the Heavenly Father. I AM is the God is who was, who is, and who is to come. And we have this beautiful opportunity to not only exist in this moment, but to be a light in this world. We have the choice with each moment. And today and everyday I will continue to choose JUSTb.Love.”
